Witches Brew

A lot of my girlsfriends have been to what is called a 'withces brew' This year was my first time going to one. Haven's aunt hosted one at her house, and i wanted to share some pics with you. It was sooooo much fun, and made me want to go buy a broom. Haha!

One of my favorite times of the Year!

Haven and I are one of those crazy couples that go allll out for every holiday. This year we have quite the decorated yard. About 90 % of all of our lawn decor was handmade by Haven and myself....well I supervised. Haha! He is the best husband every. He calls himself Martin Stewart (the male version of Martha Stewart). Don't tell him I told you that. LOL
Here we are building our Sccarry Spooky fence.

And here is the final product of our (his) hard work...

Hope you all enjoy!!! I know all the little kids in the neighborhood do! LOL!

Wedding Pics

It is a miracle. I am on blogspot updating! Hi Ya'll. I never get a chance to update my bog. So I decided to be productive at work, and update it now. LOL. Shhhh....don't tell Steph. I am sure she will read it anyway.

I have been getting ready to compile all of my wedding photos into an album. I know I know, it has been over a year. In fact, I celebrated my first wedding anniversary on August 11th 2008. Phew! We made it a year! I wanted to share some of my wedding pics with my friends.

For all of you who are married, you understand what a whirlwind the wedding planning and the actual wedding is itself. I barely remember the day?? Looking back on the pictures I am remembering more and more of the fantastic day. My mom thought my dress looked like a prom dress....lol. Thank you to Jess who had an offwhite dress and a "champagne" colored sache. Becasuse of Jess, my mom allowed me to add a sache to my dress. Allowed (like I was 16. IN actuality, I was 29, never the less, still her little girl) Jess was married in the temple and her dress was not pure white (wedding dress, not temple dress - 2 different dresses), so because of her, it was alright for mine - so big shout out to Jess! You are da shiz!

I hope you enjoy the pics, and I promise, promise promise, I will take more time to update. So much happens in my life every day, I would love to share with you guys. Kisses!

Gotta Love Family

My hubby and I graciously offered our house as a HOTEL to Haven's family. I don't know about you, but if I were staying as a guest at someones house (expecially a family members house), I would clean up after myself, offer to help with dinner or the dishes or something useful around the house. But no.....instead we get to clean up after, make dinner for, and entertain the faimly instead. Don't get me wrong, I love having family in town, and love even more that we have a place to offer them....but come on now, at least make your bed. Lol. My sister alwyas taught me, if there is one thing you should do every day to make your house look tidy, is to make your bed. Not to toot my own horn here, but I make my bed every day. Infact, someonce said to me "You don't always make your bed that nice do you?". My answer was "Yes!". Not only yes, but I have also taught Haven how to make the bed. Not that he did not know how to make a bed in the first place....but I thaught him the 'correct' way. Ladies...you all know what I am talking about, there is a way to make the bed, and there there is the 'correct' way to make the bed. Well, now that I have gone off on the bed making thing....back to the family. Offered our house, blah blah blah, entertain, clean up, blah blah blah....Come to find out, they decided to bring a dog with them on their family vacation. Ummmmm, we have 2 cats. 2 children more like it, and they HATE dogs. Expecially a boxer. Did I mention that the dog was a boxer, not like a poodle or a lap dog, no no, a dog that is as tall as me, oh and a bird. Who the hell not only brings a dog, but a bird - on vacation - to a relatives house - which has cats. To make a long story even longer, we told them that they dog could not stay, and that for obvious reasons, the bird was not welcome either. So the parents, and the animals are staying at the grandparents house. They have 6 kids. Thats right....6! They could start their own basketball team. Anyway...the oldest 2 and the girlfriend stayed with us, which is not too bad. The girlfriend was waaay helpful around the house, and she did make her bed every day. But of course every event has to be hosted at our house. That is where the non cleaning up, cooking, and entertaining occures. One more thing, they are staying until the 25th of July. Holy Crap huh! So to re-cap....the whole brute comes out, with a dog and a bird, then decide to stay for an entire month. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise that they brought the dog. Haha! I truly do love them all, really I do, but I think I love my quiet, clean home more. Haven and the Kitties are all I need for now. At least until I get knocked up....that is a story for another blog time. I will post some pics of the fam the next time I am on (so in like a month, lol)

Wishin I was Fishin

I need a vacation. Perhaps just a mini-break to get away from it all. I fancy the city, but absolutely love the Mountains and the fresh air. There is nothing better than sitting in our blow-up raft (that is our version of a boat) with a fishin pole in one hand, and an ice cold beer in the other. I can imagine it now..... my feet dangeling in the cold water.....The worm squirming to not be kabobbed on my hook....perhaps a little family of ducks swim by, which enevidable I HAVE to find some type of bread like food to throw at them, quack, quack. Not me, the ducks! Ahhhh! That is the life. When we are done fishing, my hubby rows us back to shore, splashing me along the way, which he insists is an accident. This has got to be my favorite activity of all. It sprouts from when I was just a little sprout. Lol. My dad used to take me fishing every Saturday morning, just up the canyon from where we lived. Of course, we had to swing by the 7-11 that was out of the way but it never seemed to bother my dad to drive an extra 10 miles just to get me a chick-o-stick and a slurpee. Now it is my husband taking me to the 7-11 to get me a Chick-o-stick and a V-8 (I upgraded). They say (who ever they are) that a girl marries someone who is a lot like their father. Just until a few years ago, I thought my dad was one of a kind. I never imagined that I could find another person who was the smartest person I know, the funniest person I know, the most handsome person I know, the coolest person I know, and the best exampleof anyone I know......and then Haven came along. No wonder those 2 get along so well, it was like they were split at birth (only 30 years apart). That is all for now....back to reality.

Our 1st Home

I am sure those who know me are aware that my hubby and I just purchased our first home. I had no idea that one could have an obsession with a building, but now I see that I am! I knew owning a home would be exciting, but it is now my favorite.....well.....everything. It had me at Hello (lol, that was dumb) Instead of taking that extra $30 (although not alot) and spending it on dressing myself, I choose to dress my home. Now the saying "dess my nest" after all of these years makes sense to me. I watch more HGTV then MTV now a days. At times I think my mom and dad are more excited about our home than we are. The flowers, the welcome sign, the decals that spell 'kastner' on our mailbox, are all little token of approval and love from my parents. I guess until Haven and I have children, our house will be their grandchild. Fine by me!

Even though we have only been in our house for 121 days, the equalivent of 3.9 months, the 'Honey DONE list' is longer than you could imagine. I have the best husband in the world. He has done things around the house, that I did not know he knew how to do (you really do learn a lot about eachother the first year of marriage). When he told me he was going to buy funny pipe to move the sprinkler heads, I thought that was a pre-lude to a joke. No joke...Home Depot actually sells something called funny pipe. Who knew? And that 40 foot ladder on the side of our house, adorned by weeds, I really thought it would become a permanant yard fixture. Who actually uses a 40 foot ladder?......a fire man...the guy who works on the electric lines, neither of which are professions of my husband. But he did swing that mega ladder around the house, to get on the roof to de-winterize the swamp cooler. Yet another thing he can do. He is amazing. I am not sure what good deeds I did in life to deserve such a wonderful person to spend the rest of my life with. But what ever I did, must have been amazing, because that is exactly what he is.....amazing. I am sure he will never read this "girly" blog, but I hope he knows how I feel about him.
